Top Electrical Lighting Exhibitions Every Indian Dealer Should Attend
A practical calendar of electrical B2B events from mid 2026 through 2027, anchored by the flagship ELECRAMA
The electrical and lighting industry has something most other Indian B2B sectors do not. A properly world class exhibition. ELECRAMA gets over 500,000 visitors, 1100 plus exhibitors from across the globe. It is, by most measures, the largest standalone electrical show in the world. If you are in the electrical business in India, you already know about it. The question is what else is worth attending between now and then, and what comes after.
This list covers mid 2026 through the end of 2027. One event on this list is not optional while the rest are supplementary and worth picking based on your geography and product mix. But even the supplementary ones carry value that often the Big show does not offer. Consider that smaller events let you have longer conversations with the same people you would queue 30 minutes to speak to at ELECRAMA.
Here are the events you should look out for:
Energize Empower East 2026 (E3)
Date: Aug 5 to 6, 2026
Venue: Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
This is IEEMA’s Eastern Region flagship. It is small, only two days, and it covers only the eastern belt. The B2B meets and sessions are focused on business opportunities in eastern India’s electrical sector, which is growing faster than most people in the western markets realise.
If your business covers Odisha, Bengal, Jharkhand, or the northeast, the networking here is more productive than at any of the bigger shows. The room is smaller, the conversations are longer, and the people attending are the actual decision makers for the eastern belt.
UPITS 4.0 (UP International Trade Show)
Date: Sep 25 to 29, 2026
Venue: Greater Noida
Not an electrical event, but the electrical and power pavilions are real. The value here is the chance to meet buyers from construction, smart city projects, and infrastructure who attend the broader show. A municipal engineer walking the pavilion who needs a lighting supplier for a smart city contract. A builder looking for a reliable source for switches, panels, and wiring. These accidental cross sector connections are the hidden upside of attending a show that is not built around your industry.
IITF Delhi
Nov 14 to 27, 2026. Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
The MSME pavilion has electrical exhibitors every year, and the footfall is unmatched. But honestly, for an electrical dealer who has better options on this list, IITF is a low priority unless you want general MSME visibility or access to government procurement channels. It is good for what it is. It is not the best use of a week for someone who already knows the electrical exhibition calendar.
BUILDELEC
Dates:TBD
Venue: Mumbai (NESCO)
IEEMA’s dedicated event for electrical building solutions. The buyer profile here is different from ELECRAMA. You are meeting builders, contractors, architects, and real estate developers rather than utilities and industrials. If your business supplies the construction channel, this is one of the few events that brings that buyer profile into an electrical context. Worth watching for the confirmed dates.
ELECRAMA 2027
Dates: Feb 20 to 24, 2027
Venue: India Expo Mart, Greater Noida
This is the largest standalone electrical show globally with 1100 plus exhibitors and more than 500,000 footfall. There are 10 country pavilions and it’s spread across 110,000 SQMTs. It is co-located with the World Utility Summit and the Electraverse Showcase covering AI, renewable energy, EV charging, and smart grid technology. Every brand that matters in the Indian electrical market will be here. Every supplier, every competitor, every buyer worth meeting.
For MSMEs in particular, ELECRAMA runs a dedicated SME zone and reverse buyer seller meets. The business matching programme connects smaller manufacturers and dealers with procurement teams from utilities and large corporations. Do not skip the matchmaking registration. It is genuinely one of the highest return activities you can do at the event, because it puts you in a room with procurement decision makers who would otherwise be impossible to reach.
One practical note: Greater Noida hotels near India Expo Mart sell out months ahead. Register early and book accommodation the moment dates are confirmed. Waiting until January is too late.
Light India
Dates: TBD
Dedicated lighting exhibition. If your product mix is heavily lighting focused rather than general electrical, this gives you a more concentrated version of the lighting section at ELECRAMA without the noise of switchgear, cables, and transformers competing for your attention. Covers decorative, panel, downlight, industrial, and smart connected lighting. Worth attending if lighting is more than 40% of your revenue.
Acetech
Dates: TBD
Venue: Mumbai
This event is for Architecture and building materials but the lighting and electrical fittings presence at Acetech serves the interior design and construction channel, which is a different buyer profile from the traditional electrical dealer network. If you sell decorative lighting or premium electrical fittings to architects and interior designers, Acetech is where those relationships form more naturally than at a pure electrical show.
DistribuELEC
Dates: TBD
An IEEMA concept event that is still taking shape. The idea is to bring utilities, consumer equipment, operational technology, and IT onto one platform, focused on the distribution layer of the electrical value chain. Directly relevant for dealers and wholesalers if the format matures. Worth tracking through IEEMA’s event calendar for confirmed dates and format details.
Getting the most from these events, especially ELECRAMA
The electrical industry moves fast at exhibitions. A brand like Polycab or Havells will meet hundreds of potential dealers at ELECRAMA in a single day. The dealers who stand out are the ones who come prepared with their numbers, not just their business card. You should be able to answer these questions as well:
- How many retailers do you cover?
- What are the geographies?
- What is your monthly volume by category?
- Can you handle daily rate updates when copper moves?
- Can your team quote accurately from the field without calling the office?
These are the questions brands actually ask, and the dealers who can answer them with data rather than rough guesses get better terms and faster onboarding. Dealers running their operations on a structured order management platform, Biizline being one, walk into these conversations with their numbers already in the system. Dealer coverage, pricing accuracy, rate management workflow, it is all there. That changes the quality of the conversation at the stall from ‘we are interested, let us get back to you’ to ‘here is what we can do, here are the numbers, let us talk terms.’ The second version is the one that gets the relationship started.
Where this leaves you
Plan the year around ELECRAMA 2027 in February. If your geography or product mix aligns, add E3 or BUILDELEC. If you carry decorative or smart lighting, Acetech and Light India are worth the time. Two to three events from this list, chosen based on your actual business, is the right number. Attending everything is expensive and exhausting. Attending nothing means the brands meet your competitors instead.
The events put you in the room. What happens after you leave the room is what actually matters. See what electrical dealers across India are saying about how getting the operational layer in place, the rate management, the scheme logic, the daily pricing workflow, changed what they could do with the relationships they built at events like ELECRAMA.
Frequently asked questions
What is ELECRAMA and how often does it happen?
